Halloween weekend is here, and North Texas has plenty of reasons to get out and enjoy the community! From family-friendly Halloween activities and historic Grapevine traditions to colorful Día de los Muertos celebrations, live mariachi music, and local artisan markets, this weekend offers something for just about everyone.
I've rounded up some of my favorite options around Hurst, Euless, Bedford, Grapevine, North Richland Hills, and Fort Worth, plus a couple of destinations worth the drive. Whether you're looking for something free, planning a family outing, or simply exploring more of what makes DFW a great place to live, here's your weekend shortlist for October 30–November 1, 2026.

Start Halloween weekend with an afternoon of spooky fun at the North Richland Hills Library. Families can enjoy Halloween games, a haunted-house craft, and spooky story time beginning at 3:30 p.m.
Why it made the list: A convenient, low-key activity for families with younger children. Event information — NRH Library.
7–9 p.m. | Grapevine | $5 per person, ages 3+
Looking for something a little different from traditional trick-or-treating? Historic Nash Farm in Grapevine is hosting an evening of old-fashioned spooky storytelling. The stories become progressively spookier as the evening unfolds, creating a memorable Halloween atmosphere. Costumes are encouraged!
Why it made the list: An affordable outdoor experience that combines history, storytelling, and one of Grapevine's unique local attractions. Event details — Visit Grapevine.
9 a.m.–6 p.m. | 2550 McMillan Parkway, Fort Worth | Free
If your family enjoys cars, collectibles, or unusual attractions, consider a visit to the DFW Car & Toy Museum. Halloween visitors can see The Munsters' famous Dragula Coffin Dragster and explore the museum in costume. There's also a separate trunk-or-treat event scheduled from 5–7 p.m.

Celebrate Halloween with a little Texas personality! The Stockyards' Treat Street festivities include trick-or-treating for children 12 and under in costume, face painting, and Halloween entertainment around Stockyards Station and Mule Alley. It's also a great excuse to explore one of Fort Worth's most recognizable destinations.

If I were planning three outings this weekend, here's how I'd narrow it down:
One of my favorite things about living and working in the DFW Mid-Cities is how much there is to experience without traveling far. From Bedford's neighborhood traditions and Grapevine's historic attractions to Fort Worth's cultural celebrations, every community has its own personality.
And when you're deciding where to call home, those lifestyle details matter just as much as square footage, school districts, and commute times.
As a local real estate professional serving Hurst, Euless, Bedford, Grapevine, Colleyville, Southlake, and surrounding DFW communities, I enjoy helping people discover not just the right house, but the right community for their lifestyle.
Strategic Marketing. Exceptional Results.
